EYFS Makaton Staff Training
A flexible, practical communication framework requiring only 8 hours per stage to master functional signs, symbols, and spoken language for immediate early years room application.
Core Needs & Everyday Routines (Stage 1 & 2 - 8 Hours Each): Primary care, key figures, basic choices, transition phrases, and essential room routines.
Descriptive Concepts & Action Verbs (Stage 3 & 4 - 8 Hours Each): Animals, nature, spatial positioning, time concepts, and high-frequency play verbs.
Bespoke EYFS Modules (Half-Day or Full-Day): Targeted modules focusing specifically on Key Signs, Routine Phrases, Traditional Tales, and Songs & Rhymes.
EYFS BSL Staff Training
A long-term, multi-stage commitment requiring a minimum of 60 hours per level to build genuine conversational fluency, structural grammar, and cultural awareness in British Sign Language.
Foundation & Basic Communication (Stage 1 - 60 Hours): Everyday vocabulary, simple sentence structures, directions, family, and foundational setting phrases.
Conversational Fluency & Themes (Stage 2 - 120 Hours): In-depth thematic communication covering health, emotions, travel, dining, and daily routines.
Advanced Fluency & Culture (Stage 3 - 150 Hours): Complex BSL grammar, abstract interactions, workplace communication, and Deaf history and culture.
