What do we check?
Phase 1: Statutory Personnel & SCR Review
We conduct a remote screenshare/upload sample of your SCR. We verify DBS unique numbers, Right to Work digital proof, and "Section 128" management checks. We also audit your recruitment files for reference verification and overseas conduct certificates
Phase 2: Policy & Procedural Deep-Dive
A framework review of your Safeguarding, Low-Level Concerns, and Whistleblowing policies. We ensure local MASH/LADO details are current and your Smart Device/Online Safety policies reflect modern digital risks.
Phase 3: Training & Competency Verification
We audit your Training Matrix for DSL Level 3 currency and Day-1 Inductions. This stage includes 15-minute remote interviews with two staff members to test "on-the-ground" knowledge of neglect signs and reporting lines.
Phase 4: Record-Keeping & Case Management
An inspection of your Concern Logs (CPOMS, MyProfessional, or paper). We track the "chronology of safety"—ensuring referrals have clear outcomes, follow-up emails, and secure, password-protected storage.
Seamless, Secure, and Remote
- Remote or On-site: Our method is usually remote and covers all of England. However, we do accept on-site requests, so please feel free to add this to the booking/enquiry form, and we can discuss this with you.
- How we connect: We utilise secure Zoom or Teams sessions with encrypted screensharing to ensure data privacy.
- Data Protection: We do not require permanent copies of sensitive staff files; we view them live or via a secure, time-limited portal to maintain GDPR compliance.
- The Final Report: Within 48 hours of the audit, you receive a Red/Amber/Green (RAG) rated report with an actionable "Compliance Roadmap."
- Duration: Typically takes 3–5 hours, depending on the size of your setting.

Any immediate concerns regarding a child’s physical safety must be managed through your local safeguarding partners and reported directly to MASH/LADO.
